aeroquip fittings installation instructions

Nov 01,  · There must be something to this that I am not seeing. I am trying to put a fitting (491 fitting) on Aeroquip 303-6 hose. for my fuel line. I cut the hose with a Dremel tool cutoff wheel. But when I try to screw the hose into the socket it doesn't go in. It just pushes back some of the fabric braiding. So, what is the trick here? The instructions just say "screw hose into
